Anxious To Get Started

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. It was just good to have some time off from work and spend time with my family. I started reading The Guide to Implementing the Weight Loss Cure by Cindy Cook last night. I intended on just browsing through a few pages and the next thing you know it was 3 hours later and I finished the whole book. It gives a lot of great tips and answers some of the unanswered questions from KT's book. I wish I would have read it the 1st time I started on HCG. It would have saved me hours of online research.

I received a phone call from dd.ca stating that they were sending my supplies out soon. Yeahhhh! I am really ready to start the injections. I want to start losing weight. I have already started watching what I eat and stopped drinking pop. I haven't weighed in about 3 weeks and am nervous to weigh. I went overboard with dinner yesterday (not to mention the Cadbury egg). I told them to send IM needles for the injection. (Just typing that made me nausious!...lol) Previously, when I 1st tried HCG for 23 days, I did SC in the belly; which after the first one was pretty easy. I want to do IM to try to stay true to Dr S's protocol. I'm just real nervous about the injection and whether to use my thigh or hip. I'm sure I'm worrying needlessly. In the meantime I'm reading through KT's and Cindy's books and taking notes, preparing meals for P2, thinking about doing cleanses, and browsing other hcg challenger's blogs (what a great group of people!)
Well it's getting late so bye-bye for now. I will weigh and measure tomorrow and post my stats.

Hi Pamela,

I enjoyed reading Cindy's book this weekend, as well, and am totally ready to get the rest of my weight off! if it will help put your mind at ease, I did the IM injections on my first round, and they weren't bad at all. The needle is so thin that I never felt any pain - I just made sure to alternate legs and not inject on the same spot, if I could avoid it. Also, if the needle felt like it had been dulled from going through the rubber cap on the vial, I changed needles to make sure it was nice and sharp going in. Best of luck to you with the HCG Challenge!

Thanks for the reassurance Susan. I'm glad that we are going through this together to be able to support each other. Good luck to you too.

I use me thigh too - OKAY - at first I would literally STARE at the needle go to jab it in my leg - stop and STARE AGAIN... Which occurred for several shots - very silly because as Susan stated it really doesn't hurt. It's just all psychological... I'm jabbing myself with a needle - am I out of my mind... But after the first week - I didn't have a problem. Not saying I won't go through the same ritual when I finally start again but we shall see when we start this journey together!!!

I also do IM injections, and have had no problem with it. It was more the thought that scared me before I actually did it. But once you do it you realize you worried for nothing!! ;) I do my shots in the thigh as well, and alternate each day.
